<p><b>Ipai</b>, also spelled <b>Iipay</b> and also known as <b>Northern Diegueño</b>, is the Native American language spoken by the <a href="page.php?w=Kumeyaay">Kumeyaay</a> people of central <a href="page.php?w=San_Diego_County%2C_California">San Diego County, California</a>. Professor <a href="page.php?w=Leanne_Hinton">Leanne Hinton</a> suggested a conservative estimate of 25 surviving Ipai speakers.</p>
