<p>While chemically pure materials have a single <a href="page.php?w=melting_point">melting point</a>, <a href="page.php?w=Mixture">chemical mixtures</a> often partially <a href="page.php?w=melting">melt</a> at the temperature known as the <b>solidus</b> (T<sub>S</sub> or T<sub>sol</sub>), and fully melt at the higher <b>liquidus</b> temperature (T<sub>L</sub> or T<sub>liq</sub>).
