Loch Assynt ( or Loch Asainte ) is a freshwater loch in Sutherland, Scotland, 8 km north-east of Lochinver.

Situated in a spectacular setting between the heights of Canisp, Quinag and , it receives the outflow from Loch Awe, , and Loch Leitir Easaidh.
