<p>The <b>pipe rolls</b>, sometimes called the <b>Great Rolls</b> or the <b>Great Rolls of the Pipe</b>, are a collection of financial records maintained by the English <a href="page.php?w=Exchequer">Exchequer</a>, or <a href="page.php?w=HM_Treasury">Treasury</a>, and its successors, as well as the <a href="page.php?w=Exchequer_of_Ireland">Exchequer of Ireland</a>.
