<p>In cryptography, <b>security level</b> is a measure of the strength that a <a href="page.php?w=cryptographic_primitive">cryptographic primitive</a> &mdash; such as a <a href="page.php?w=cipher">cipher</a> or <a href="page.php?w=hash_function">hash function</a> &mdash; achieves.
