<p>Text-based <b>semigraphics</b>, <b>pseudographics</b>, or <b>character graphics</b> is a primitive method used in early <a href="page.php?w=text_mode">text mode</a> video hardware to emulate <a href="page.php?w=raster_graphics">raster graphics</a> without having to implement the logic for such a display mode.</p>
