<p>A <b>Widlar current source</b> is a modification of the basic two-<a href="page.php?w=transistor">transistor</a> <a href="page.php?w=current_mirror">current mirror</a> that incorporates an emitter degeneration <a href="page.php?w=resistor">resistor</a> for only the output transistor, enabling the current source to generate low currents using only moderate resistor values.</p>
