<p>In <a href="page.php?w=evolutionary_biology">evolutionary biology</a>, <b>reciprocal altruism</b> is a behaviour whereby an organism acts in a manner that temporarily reduces its fitness while increasing another organism's fitness, with the expectation that the other organism will act in a similar manner at a later time.</p>
