The government withdrew the sections relating to the creation of district councils, which were eventually brought into existence by the <a href="page.php?w=Local_Government_Act_1894">Local Government Act 1894</a> (<a href="page.php?w=56_%26_57_Vict.">56 & 57 Vict.</a> c. 73).</p>
