Nuclei

A number of cranial nerve nuclei are present in the pons:
* mid-pons: the principal sensory nucleus of trigeminal nerve (5)
* mid-pons: the motor nucleus for the trigeminal nerve (5)
* lower down in the pons: abducens nucleus
