The bridge is 336 yd long, 11 ft 10 in wide and 5 ft 3 in deep. It consists of a cast iron trough supported 127 ft above the river on iron arched ribs carried on eighteen hollow masonry piers (pillars). Each of the 19 spans is 13,6 m wide.
