The system is widely considered to be the first computer-based <a href="page.php?w=virtual_reality">virtual reality</a>. Ivan Sutherland later co-founded the company <a href="page.php?w=Evans_%26_Sutherland">Evans & Sutherland</a>, which made high-end vector displays and flight simulators.</p>
