which was originally part of the Agency, was incorporated into the Malakand Agency after 1895, while in 1934 Indus Kohistan was transferred from the Gilgit Agency to the North-West Frontier Province. The frontier with China was likewise mapped and remapped on various occasions.

The states of Hunza and Nagar were added into the agency after the 1891 Hunza-Nagar campaign.
