Warren puts one of his guns next to Smithers and tells him he knew his son, claiming that when Smithers' son tried to claim the bounty on his head, he orally raped and murdered him. When Smithers reaches for the gun, Warren kills him.

During the confrontation, the coffee is poisoned, which Daisy silently witnessed.
