Goodstein, Merrick's lawyer. They started living together almost immediately, while Merrick was still married to Aronson. Merrick and Lloyd married on November 23, 1999 in Dallas, Texas, less than six months before Merrick's death on April 25, 2000.

Honors

In 1965, Merrick received the Golden Plate Award of the American Academy of Achievement. In 2001, he was inducted into the St. Louis Walk of Fame.
