<p>In the story Udayasundari-Katha by Soddhala, Dharmapala is said to be a descendant  of the <a href="page.php?w=Solar_dynasty">Solar dynasty</a>. In the Kamauli inscription issued by Pala minister Vaidyadeva (Later King of <a href="page.php?w=Kamarupa_kingdom">Kamarupa kingdom</a>)  the Pala rulers are referred  to as belonging to the Solar dynasty (Mihiravamsa).According to author <a href="page.php?w=Nitish_Sengupta">Nitish Sengupta</a>, such claims of belonging to the legendary Solar dynasty seems to be unreliable and appear to be an attempt</p><p>
