Fossils of Permian cynodonts are relatively rare outside of South Africa, with the most widely distributed genus being <a href="page.php?w=Procynosuchus">Procynosuchus</a>, which is known from South Africa, Germany, Tanzania, Zambia, and possibly Russia.</p>
