It wasn't until 1987 when <a href="page.php?w=Jonathan_Poneman">Jonathan Poneman</a> invested in the label, motivated by a desire to release <a href="page.php?w=Soundgarden">Soundgarden</a>'s music, that he and Pavitt combined their resources to fund Dry as a Bone.
