<p><big>Degradation</big></p>
<p>Catecholamines have a half-life of a few minutes when circulating in the blood. They can be degraded either by methylation by <a href="page.php?w=Catechol-O-methyl_transferase">catechol-''O''-methyltransferases (COMT)</a> or by deamination by <a href="page.php?w=Monoamine_oxidase">monoamine oxidases (MAO)</a>.</p><p>
