Organization and leadership

CTR and the four amalgamated companies had 1,300 employees, with offices and plants in Endicott and Binghamton, New York; Dayton, Ohio; Detroit, Michigan; Washington, D.C.; and Toronto, Ontario. CTR was located in Endicott. The chairman was George Winthrop Fairchild, who, having been a member of Congress since 1906, was not expected
