The letter "J" in the term <a href="page.php?w=AJAX">AJAX</a> originally indicated the use of JavaScript, as well as <a href="page.php?w=XML">XML</a>. With the rise of server side JavaScript processing, for example, <a href="page.php?w=Node.js">Node.js</a>, originally developed in 2009, JavaScript is also used to dynamically create pages on the server that are sent fully formed to clients.</p>
