<p>On some of the plains surrounding Great Slave Lake, <a href="page.php?w=climax_community">climax</a> <a href="page.php?w=Patterned_ground">polygonal bog</a>s have formed, the early successional stage to which often consists of pioneer <a href="page.php?w=Picea_mariana">black spruce</a>.</p>
