Polycarbonates do not have a unique resin identification code. Items made from polycarbonate can contain the precursor monomer <a href="page.php?w=bisphenol_A">bisphenol A</a> (BPA). Susceptible to UV light, exposure results in yellowing. Degradation is especially visible in headlamps that lost or didn't have proper protective coating.</p>
