<p><big> Curvature versus coordinates </big></p>
<p>In relativistic calculations, one often chooses coordinate systems that simplify the computations. The expression for the Pythagorean theorem, and hence the spacetime interval, depends both on the geometry of spacetime and on the coordinate system used to describe it.
