<p><big>Linear</big></p>
<p>A linear electric actuator uses a <a href="page.php?w=linear_motor">linear motor</a>, which can be thought as a rotary electric motor which has been cut and unrolled. Thus, instead of producing a rotational movement, it produces a linear force along their length. Because it generally has lower friction losses than the alternatives, a linear electric actuator can last over a hundred million cycles.</p>
