<p>Leiden was the publishing place from the 17th to the early 19th century of the important journal <a href="page.php?w=Nouvelles_Extraordinaires_de_Divers_Endroits">Nouvelles Extraordinaires de Divers Endroits</a>, known also as Gazette de Leyde.</p>
