<p>As with all ancient ethical thinkers, Socrates thought that all human beings wanted eudaimonia more than anything else (see Plato, <a href="page.php?w=Apology_%28Plato%29">Apology</a> 30b, <a href="page.php?w=Euthydemus_%28dialogue%29">Euthydemus</a> 280d-282d, <a href="page.php?w=Meno">Meno</a> 87d-89a).
