<p>Another system of negating the effects of random selection is formula scoring, in which a score is proportionally reduced based on the number of incorrect responses and the number of possible choices. In this method, the score is reduced by the number of wrong answers divided by the average number of possible answers for all questions in the test, w/(c - 1) where w is the number of wrong responses on the test and c is the average number of possible choices for all questions on the test.
