<p>The <a href="page.php?w=bracteate">bracteate</a> is a type of thin gold medal, usually plain on the reverse, found in Northern Europe from the so-called "<a href="page.php?w=Dark_Ages_%28historiography%29">Dark Ages</a>" or <a href="page.php?w=Migration_Period">Migration Period</a>.
