<p><big>Letters</big></p>
<p>The basic Arabic alphabet contains 28 <a href="page.php?w=letter_%28alphabet%29">letters</a>, each of which behaves either as a full-fledged letter or as a <a href="page.php?w=diacritic">diacritic</a>. Forms using the Arabic script to write other languages added and removed letters: for example <?> is often used to represent  in adaptations of the Arabic script.</?></p><p>
