<p><a href="page.php?w=Stephen_Herbert_Langdon">Stephen Herbert Langdon</a> (1923) in his The Babylonian Epic of Creation, said: "karubu has the same meaning as karibu, 'one who prays', an image of a mythical monster placed at the gates of temples and palaces. This 'intercessor', a figure of a mythical monster, is clearly identical with the Hebrew kerub, cherub."</p>
