(small vows). Ascetics observe these fives vows more strictly and therefore observe complete abstinence. These five vows are:
* Ahimsa (Non-violence)
* Satya (Truth)
* Asteya (Non-stealing)
* Brahmacharya (Chastity)
* Aparigraha (Non-possession)
