<p>Members of the Lepus genus are considered true hares, distinguishing them from <a href="page.php?w=rabbits">rabbits</a> which make up the rest of the <a href="page.php?w=Leporidae">Leporidae</a> family. There are five species with common names that include the word "hare" which are not considered true hares: the <a href="page.php?w=hispid_hare">hispid hare</a>,</p><p>
