Eviota pellucida, the description being published in 1976 in the journal Copeia. This was her first description of a new species. Her Masters was called Notes on the biology and comparative behaviour of Eviota zonura and Eviota smaragdus (Pisces:Gobiidae). She gained a PhD in Zoology from the University of Queensland and her thesis was A revision of the gobiid
