Like the rest of their family, the Oceanid nymphs were associated with water, as the personification of springs. <a href="page.php?w=Hesiod">Hesiod</a> says they are "dispersed far and wide" and everywhere "serve the earth and the deep waters", while in <a href="page.php?w=Apollonius_of_Rhodes">Apollonius of Rhodes</a>' <a href="page.php?w=Argonautica">Argonautica</a>,</p><p>
