<p>(<a href="page.php?w=Crocodilia">crocodilian</a>-line archosaurs) with adaptations for scavenging. Riojasuchus is notable as one of the youngest and most complete members of the family. The <a href="page.php?w=Type_species">type</a> and only known species, <b><i>Riojasuchus tenuisceps</i></b>, was named and described by <a href="page.php?w=Jos%C3%A9_Bonaparte">José Bonaparte</a> in 1967.
