<p>and its dialects are spoken in sparsely distributed small pockets in northern and northwestern Iran.  Tati shares common isogloss and many characteristic words with <a href="page.php?w=Talysh_language">Talysh</a> and <a href="page.php?w=Zaza_language">Zaza</a> that are not found in other Iranian languages. Tati, similar to Zaza, has a two-gender, case and ergative system. The language is also referred to as Southern Tati and is considered the present-day Azari, reflecting its affinity with <a href="page.php?w=Old_Azeri">Old Azeri</a>.</p>
