<p>The name "Uriankhai' means "uria" (motto, war motto) and <a href="page.php?w=Khan_%28title%29">khan</a> (lord) in Mongolian. The Mongols applied the name to all the forest peoples and, later, to <a href="page.php?w=Tuvans">Tuvans</a>. They were classified by the Mongols as <a href="page.php?w=%3ACategory%3A_Darlikin_Mongols">Darligin Mongols</a>.</p>
