History

The land to the west of Counter's Creek lies in the medieval parish of Fulham which evolved out of the extensive Fulham Manor, the residence of the Bishop of London for 1,300 years, known today as Fulham Palace. To the east is the parish of St Mary Abbots which traces its foundation
