<p>The <a href="page.php?w=Hebrew_Bible">Hebrew Bible</a> is typically the main reference in biblical archaeology, as it broadly covers the <a href="page.php?w=Iron_Age">Iron Age</a> <a href="page.php?w=Palestine_%28region%29">Palestinian</a> region. Its primary purpose is to use the archeological record to attempt to fill in gaps in biblical historiography. Although both the Hebrew Bible and the <a href="page.php?w=New_Testament">New Testament</a> are taken into account, the majority of the study centers around the former.</p>
