When many more dopant atoms are added, on the order of one per ten thousand atoms, the doping is referred to as high or heavy. This is often shown as n+ for <a href="page.php?w=n-type_semiconductor">n-type</a> doping or p+ for <a href="page.php?w=p-type_semiconductor">p-type</a> doping.
