<p>They exit the <a href="page.php?w=Pelvis">pelvic girdle</a> posterior and inferior to the <a href="page.php?w=inguinal_ligament">inguinal ligament</a>. This occurs about one third laterally from the insertion point of the inguinal ligament on the <a href="page.php?w=pubic_tubercle">pubic tubercle</a>. At this point they are referred to as the <a href="page.php?w=femoral_arteries">femoral arteries</a>.</p>
