Most species exhibit a schooling behavior and tend to exploit the shallow water <a href="page.php?w=Refugium_%28population_biology%29">refugia</a> associated with coastal areas presumably to avoid large-bodied <a href="page.php?w=predator">predator</a>s, such as the <a href="page.php?w=lemon_shark">lemon shark</a>.</p>
