<p>Methylation is primarily introduced by small nucleolar RNA's, referred to as snoRNPs. There are two classes of snoRNPs that target methylation sites, and they are referred to box C/D and box H/ACA. One type of methylation, 2´-O-methylation, contributes to helical stabilization.</p>
