Tadpoles are used in a variety of cuisines. Tadpoles of the megophryid frog Oreolalax rhodostigmatus are particularly large, more than 10 cm in length, and are collected for human consumption in China. In Peru Telmatobius mayoloi tadpoles are collected for both food and medicine.
