Most of these proteins are related to methanogenesis, and they could serve as potential molecular markers for methanogens. Additionally, 10 proteins found in all methanogens, which are shared by <a href="page.php?w=Archaeoglobus">Archaeoglobus</a>, suggest that these two groups are related.
