<p><a href="page.php?w=Vietnam">Vietnam</a> uses both the North American and European schemes, generally depending on the region. In northern and central Vietnam, including the capital <a href="page.php?w=Hanoi">Hanoi</a>, <i>tang</i> refers to any floor, including the ground floor, which is called <i>tang 1</i>. Meanwhile, in southern Vietnam, <i>tret</i> refers to the ground floor and <i>lau</i> refers to any floor above it, starting at <i>lau 1</i> directly above the ground floor.</p>
