<p>with each appendage being laterally flattened (taller than wide). Most podomeres were tipped with a pair of endites (ventral spines). The endites themselves were both equipped with multiple auxiliary spines, which branches off from the anterior and posterior margin of the endites.</p>

<p>The interpretation of Anomalocaris as an active <a href="page.php?w=Predation">predator</a> is widely accepted throughout the history of research, as its raptorial frontal appendages and mid-gut glands strongly suggest a predatory lifestyle.</p><p>
