<p>For error-tolerant applications (e.g. graphics applications), refreshing non-critical data stored in DRAM or eDRAM at a rate lower than their retention period saves energy with minor quality loss, which is an example of <a href="page.php?w=approximate_computing">approximate computing</a>.</p>
