<p>(?????) are variants of haggadah based on a common linguistic shift from haphalah to aphalah forms. However, a minority of scholars believe that these words derive from a separate Aramaic root ??? meaning "draw, pull, spread, stretch" (corresponding to the Hebrew root ??? or ???).</p>
